Accountant II, SEC Reporting - Hybrid Position

Location:  Tulsa, OK

Description

  • Perform intermediate level of accounting and financial activities; evaluate related studies and reports for use in multiple accounting responsibilities (SEC reporting).

  • Evaluate journal entries, records, account reconciliations, reports, and budgets related to accounting, or finance.

  • Maintain applicable spreadsheet models and distributed applications such as those used in finance and other accounting activities.

Verify and perform calculations and analyses including:

  • Cash flow

  • Financial ratios

  • Actual to forecast and historical period variance analysis • Depreciations (book)

  • Rate/tariff schedules

  • Projections/forecasts

  • Allocations

Compile and verify a variety of financial information including:

  • Actual to forecast and historical period variance analysis

  • Governmental/regulatory reports

  • Invoices

  • Financial reports

  • Reconciliation reports

  • Quarterly income statements

  • Provide information to employees from governmental and regulatory agencies, auditing firms, management, and others concerning accounting processes and financial reports. 

  • Compliance with Sarbanes Oxley and applicable Regulatory Requirements.

  • Regular and reliable attendance is required in performance of job.

What You Will Need

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting required

  • Experience with and knowledge of generally accepted accounting methods and procedures.

  • Experience performing an intermediate level of accounting activities such as financial accounting, property accounting, account classification, or gas accounting.

  • Experience with application of math, algebra, and statistical methods.

  • Experience in use and function of office equipment including computers and applicable software.

Training related to:

  • Spreadsheet and software applications

  • Financial accounting and reporting standards and processes (specified by position)

  • Economic forecasting/modeling and corporate budget functions (specified by position)

  • Regulated accounting activities and terminology (specified by position

  • Communicate and work with others.

  • Experience researching reports, studies, and correspondence applicable to position.

  • Experience reading and interpreting company correspondence, reports, accounting-related publications.

  • Experience collaborating and advising with customers.

  • Present information to individuals and groups.

  • Read and write fluently in English.

  • Mobility to travel in and around office facilities system wide.

  • Visual abilities to perform job responsibilities.

  • Exchange information or verbal instructions and conduct oral presentations.
