Welcome everyone once again to another episode of Weekend Plans in Tulsa — a gather sticks for a bonfire lengthed podcast from your friends at OakTree Staffing & Training in Tulsa, OK. In this episode, we will be discussing events happening June 1st through the 3rd, 2018.

For your weekend weather forecast for Tulsa, OK, Friday is going to heat up with a high of 98 and sunny conditions with it breaking into the triple digits on this sunny Saturday with a high of 101 during the day, but a low of 70. Sunday will be partly cloudy outside with a high of 91.

Yay, it’s time for events! Let’s start with events happening all weekend long.

If you feel like you were born during the wrong period in history, the Oklahoma Renaissance Fair’s last run for the year ends this weekend. Come down to the Castle in Muskogee, Oklahoma and jump into a medieval world. For more information, head over to http://okcastle.com

Also taking place all weekend is the Tulsa Pride Festival in the East Village. A parade will start and conclude at Guthrie Green. Learn about all of the festivities at http://okeq.org

For all of you thimble-heads out there, even though I don’t think that’s a real expression, this weekend is the Quilt Tulsa’s Annual Quilting Show brought to you by the Green Country Quilters Guild at the Expo Square River Spirit Expo Center. Also going down at Expo Square, but at the Exchange Center is the Gem Faire. This weekend-long faire is one of the largest traveling jewelry and bead shows in the country. Learn how to get your gem and bead on at http://gemfaire.com

If you’re in the mood for some good old fashioned baseball, your Tulsa Drillers will take the field against the Corpus Christi Hooks all weekend long at ONEOK Stadium. Games on Friday and Saturday will be at 7:05pm with a game on Sunday at 1:05pm Get the full scoop at http://tulsadrillers.com/

Because this Friday is June 1st, that means it’s time once again for the First Friday Art Crawl in the Tulsa Arts District at 6pm. On Saturday, round up the kids and come celebrate the birthday of TulsaKids Magazine with the TulsaKids Birthday Bash & Kickoff to Summer at Guthrie Green at 2-5pm. For music, we have a few weekend-long music festivals happening in the Tulsa area.
