Intro: Howdy everybody and welcome to another episode of Weekend Plans in Tulsa — the perfect-length podcast for brewing a pot of coffee. In this episode, we’ll be discussing the many events happening in Tulsa the weekend of April 27th through the 29th, 2018.

Ok, let’s dive into the weekend!
Starting off with the weekend weather forecast for Tulsa. Boy, oh boy, will it be a weekend to be outside and enjoying some wonderful events in this springtime weather. On Friday, it will be sunny with a low of 51, but a high of 70. Staying gorgeous on Saturday, enjoy sunshine and a high of 78. Get a little bit of shade, but a little more heat on Sunday with a partly cloudy day and a high of 79.
Looking at events all weekend long, there will be plenty of outdoor events happening where you can soak up the sun. This entire weekend is the Woody Guthrie Center 5th Anniversary Celebration. While there are events happening at various locations, Guthrie Green will be hosting live music the entire weekend. On Friday, music will start at 5 pm with the Woody Guthrie Center After School Music Students followed by the Harmaleighs, the Red Dirt Rangers, and Count Tutu. Music will pick back up Saturday afternoon at 2:30 pm starting with Cole Quest and the City Pickers followed by Steve Poltz, Tim Easton, Lance Canales, and Rev. Sekou. The Sunday music will start at 2:30 pm with Casii Stephan and the Midnight Sun followed by David Amram and Radoslav Lorkovic, Ellis Paul, The Accidentals, and John Fullbright. If you’re in the mood for some baseball this weekend, ONEOK Stadium has you covered. On Friday, enjoy your own Tulsa Drillers as they take the field against the Northwest Arkansas Naturals.
